A Visit to Montserrat designed and thought for the nature, mountain, sea and photography lovers, walking through one of the most emblematic Natural Parks of Catalonia.
With private transportation and accompanied by our guide, we will visit the most charismatic places that are a must in Montserrat and other secrets that keep histories and legends.
We will experience every aspect of Montserrat: the nature, the religion, the history and the sports. We will try to comprehend its spectacular geology, gigantic monoliths that arise more than a thousand meters over the valley, we will meet the mountains’ and also the religious community’s history, its basilica and the chapels and also we will know its civil history that lived battles at its feet. We will enjoy the surprising nature, we will walk through the Woods and we will get to privileged vantages with infinite sights.

Trip from Barcelona itinerary

09:00 – BARCELONA
We will pick up your clients at their hotel in Barcelona and we will go to Montserrat with our private vehicle. We will get there in less than an hour.

10:00 – COLLBATÓ – SALNITRE CAVES
Once we are there we will take different trails accompanied by our official guide, at first we will visit the Salnitre caves in Collbató, right by the mountain’s foot. A underground world that thanks to the action of water during history has generated some Stone figures that are said to have inspired great artists like Santiago Rusiñol, Ramón Casas or Antoni Gaudí.

11:00 – EL BRUC- LES AGULLES – MONTSERRAT ABBEY
After visiting the caves we will get to El Bruc, a little town placed in the base of the mountain with a really rich history, since, despite of its size, it was a key spot during the Napoleonic wars. After visiting El Bruc, we will go up to Can Massana in our bus, where we will discover the area of “Les Agulles”, the needles, and we will go through the northern face of the mountain where we will stop by the great walls that it offers us and also by the Sant Cecilia monastery. After all we will make it to the Montserrat Abbey. The final part of our walk will be optional, and it will be about walking for 20 min through a trail known as “Els Degotalls” that runs along the base of the wall of the mountain.

13:00 – MONASTERY
We will have lunch at a reserved restaurant, where we can enjoy the genuine Catalan cuisine. After that we will enjoy some free time to visit the area at our own pace until 4 pm.

16:00 – CABLECAR TO SANT JOAN
Ascension with the cable car to Sant Joan and visit to the “Les Magdalenes” area, a place where the most intrepid climbers can be found due to its enormous stone monoliths, not in vain Montserrat is the typical Catalan climbing school. There, we will also enjoy a couple old hermitages placed in the middle of the sheer mountain. The trail will take us back to the monastery where we will get by 5 pm

18:00 – MONASTERY
We will enjoy 1 hour of free time in the monastery’s esplanade to do the last visits at our own pace, the last shopping, pictures, etc.

19:00 - BARCELONA
Finally, we will embrace our way back to the city of Barcelona.
