Living Barcelona, feeling its multicultural atmosphere, its history, its people… walking through its millenary streets lighten with its Mediterranean magic light to live and understand its past, present and its future.
Accompanied by a guide and at our own pace, we will walk through the most charismatic places, we will know the rich cultural and historical heritage, its roman foundation, the gothic district, the medieval city centre, the Eixample, the modernism and Gaudí, the port, its restaurants, its terraces, its markets, its atmosphere, its days and nights await for us and will surprise us. One day we will be enjoying a trip to meet the landscapes of the Catalan countryside, close to Barcelona, we will be able to choose between Montserrat, the spectacular magic mountain, a great symbol for the Catalan culture and tradition… or we can visit the Penedès vineyards, where the “cava” was born, a sparkling wine made with the “methode Champagnoise” since 300 years ago and today it has become a certificate of origin recognised Word wide… On the other hand we can choose to visit the Empordà and the Costa Brava, the area that inspired Dalí’s paintings.
Feel Madrid, its atmosphere, its history, its people, taste its gastronomy, walk through its streets and gardens, visit its museums, palaces, feel its past, its present and its future. The Spanish capital. Accompanied by a guide and at our own pace, we will go through some of the most charismatic places, we will meet the rich cultural and historical heritage, its squares, gardens, palaces, restaurants, its terraces, its markets, we will taste the famous “tapas”, we will share their days and their nights, the sympathy of its people… and all of this will leave a mark on us. One of the days we will have an excursion to meet one of the unavoidable cities in Spanish history: Toledo or Segovia… landscapes and Castilian culture, the old and noble Spanish country.

DAY 1: BARCELONA. HISTORICAL DOWNTOWN –THE ROMAN BARCELONA, THE GOTHIC, THE “BORN” AND THE PORT.
Our private guide will pick us up at our hotel and ha will prepare a briefing to get us deep into the city of a thousand histories, still alive. No hurries, but without useless stops.
The official private guide will show us the main monuments, the unavoidable points of a first visit, but also those lifelong nooks with traditional flavour. We will have a reservation at a restaurant for our first contact with the traditional Catalan cuisine.
A day dedicated to know the essential Barcelona, the down town, the Roman city, the gothic district and the “Born”, the port and sensing the sea.
Free afternoon, resting, shopping...

DAY 2: OPTIONS: MONTSERRAT / PENEDES THE LAND OF CAVA / EMPORDÀ AND DALI
Our guide will pick us up at our hotel and we will transport in a private vehicle to our chosen destination for this day, nearby Barcelona.

MONTSERRAT
In 1 hour we will get to Montserrat massif, a unique mountain formation in the world. We will visit at our own pace the different slopes of the mountain, the monastery, and we will walk through the heights watching a startling landscape of needles, monoliths and abyss. The walk will get us into the mountain through good vibrations nooks where in the past many mystic people got retired to a contemplative life. The walk will last a couple of hours and we will be able to admire the other face of Montserrat, the Natural Park and its magic.

PENEDES –CAVA
In less than an hour we will get to the wine region of Penedés, where the “cava” is elaborated, the sparkling wine made with the “methode Champagnoise” since 300 years ago and now is recognized worldwide. We will visit the wineries and will also get surprised by the kind landscapes of vineyards, hills and castles

EMPORDÀ – DALÍ
In less than an hour we will get to the Empordà, a region where the Greeks and the Romans started the civilization in the Iberian Peninsula, we will fill ourselves with the landscape that inspired many artists. We will visit the Dalí museum in Figueres and we will also go to the Cap the Creus Natural Park, where geology and methodology have crafted a spectacular landscape, the landscapes that inspired Dalí.

Whichever option we decide the lunch will be held in a reserved restaurant of the area.
In mid-afternoon we will get back to Barcelona. A moment of free time and rest.

DAY 3: BARCELONA. THE “EIXAMPLE” AND MODERNISM. THE BOHEMIAN QUARTERS.
Our guide will pick us up at our hotel. This day we will be discovering the other side of Barcelona, the modernist and the bohemian quarters. We will visit the “Eixample”, a neighbourhood where there are the most modernist buildings designed by Gaudí and its disciples, we will visit some of them, the “Paseo de Gracia”, “la Pedrera”, “La Casa Batlló”... we will walk quietly and we will be able to get a closer look of the bohemian and technological quarters that where little villages until last century and that now are integrated in Barcelona making it such a diverse city.
A day dedicated to know the other Barcelona, the modernist one and its day to day.

DAY 4: TRANSFER FROM BARCELONA TO MADRID
At the arranged time you will be accompanied to the airport or to the high speed train station (AVE) in order to go to Madrid.
On arrival to Madrid, transfer to the hotel.
Rest of the day free, shopping, walk around the city…

DAY 5: MADRID HISTORICAL CENTRE– THE MADRID OF THE HABSBURG- THE PALACIO REAL
Our private companion guide will pick us up at our hotel and will prepare a briefing to immerse in the city of a thousand stories, all alive. No hurries but without useless pauses.
The official private guide will show us the main monuments, the unavoidable spots in a first visit, but also those places with a traditional lifelong flavour, we will have a reservation in a restaurant to enjoy the first contact with the traditional cuisine of Madrid.
A day dedicated to meet the essence of Madrid, the historical Madrid. The capital of Castilla and Spain from 1563.
Free afternoon resting and shopping.

DAY 6: OPTIONS: TOLEDO / SEGOVIA
Our companion guide will pick us up at the hotel and we will go, in a private vehicle or in high speed train (AVE) to our chosen destination for this day, to meet this amazing cities that are very closet o Madrid.

OPTIÓN 1 - TOLEDO: In 1 hour we will get to Toledo, the city by the shore of the Tajo river and the city of the three cultures (Jewish, Muslim and Christian) the imperial city, where the main courts of Castilla where established. The cathedral, the Alcazar, numerous churches and synagogues, configure the old downtown, a downtown that witnessed the golden times of the Spanish empire. A place where the Toledo steel swords where made for may knights around the world.

OPTION 2 - SEGOVIA: In less than an hour we will get to Segovia. The city where we can find the most important Roman engineering in Spain, the aqueduct. A city, which walls, have more than 3km and 80 towers, and like Toledo, it has an amazing cathedral and Alcázar, churches, gardens and monasteries. Its gastronomy points out because of a much known dish: the roasted sucking pig.

In any of both options the lunch will be held in a reserved restaurant of the area.
At mid afternoon we will head back to Madrid to enjoy some free time and have some rest.

DIA 7: MADRID. MUSEO DEL PRADO – THE LITERARY MADRID
Our companion guide will pick us up at our hotel. Today we will discover the other face of Madrid, the cultural one. We will visit de Prado museum and the literary Madrid, the neighbourhood where writers and artists arrived during the named “Golden Century” of the Castilian culture, its theatres, its “mentideros”, we will be able to feel the presence of Lope de Vega, Cervantes, Góngora and Quevedo…
A day dedicated to know the essence of the cultural Madrid with the current rhythm of the city.
Free afternoon, some shopping and resting.
